Hyperion Database: The Collection

Known as the virtual library, The Collection is designed into twelve different large white rooms, where there is a central Collection Desk located in the middle of each room, where colonists can sit and experience different media realities through the command of their voice. The surrounding white walls have the ability to project images, sounds, feelings, and smells from their home planet, Earth, anything that was recorded and saved in the ship's memory can be projected into the room.

The Collection Desk has a database of all of Earth's recorded literary publications, art visuals, video images, and musical works.

The Collection rooms are monitored by librarians, journalists, photographers, and science based professions of the Hyperion colony.

Right around the circumference the virtual library are various pods of study lounges, intimate and private areas where colonists can come together and communicate together through dialogue or simply spend time by themselves and cozy up by the fireplace for personal reflection.
