Ri'do looked back at the bear as he pressed forward, he could smell the grassy fields. The smell of single blades blowing in the dusk sky. "I come from a pride, Prince." Ri'do spoke with sarcasm, "We were a small pride, hunting with our skills." He stopped for a moment and looked at Kabukk, "But I am two now." Ri'do pulled a grin towards Kabukk, he heard rustling in the brush coming from behind Kabukk. Definitely a beast of the predatory manner, it's black leathery skin jumped through the bush attacking Kabukk from behind him.
As he grinned back at Ri'do, a creature jumped on top his head. Kabukk roared in rage, as he placed his arms on the creature and squeezed the black leathery body that surfaced upon him. "I think we found our food." he calmly said, having be able to get a certain grasp at it, though the skin was rather slippery.
Ri'do watched with much anticipation of the outcome. He withdrew his sword and held in hand as he watched, Kabukk would have to establish his strength on his own terms. If he could not fight one of the weaker predators of the island he would become Ri'do's little cub who would require his help with everything, "Kabukk you must establish your strength on the island, prove yourself worthy of the life you now hold as your own." Ri'do tightened his grip on his sword, if Kabukk failed here he would need to once again fight his way to the top of the chain without the help of Ri'do.
As the leathery creature crouched onto his head, it started to bite on the white Shorchitt. Kabukk roared loudly, as being bitten gave some pain and he started bleeding from the frontal region of his head. He grabbed the creature with his bare hands and clawed his way into the leather skin and ripped the creature into two, with the blood of the creature splashing onto his head, he roared to the sky, proclaiming his independence from the gods. He was his own self, the free will was his, he felt and liked it. With his left hand, he offered the dead organism to the feline that he just met. "I want to offer you my thanks and gratitude, your kindness has given me the strength to live, I owe so much to you my new friend." he said with a slight grin on his face.
"I like my food raw." he then bit into his part of the creature that his right hand had.
Ri'do shook his head, "No thank you, I do not eat a species so closely related to me." He stared at the black leathery creature which resembled much of a panther. "Its borderline canabal," Ri'do chuckled with the thought of the split creature being related to him, Kabukk was more closely related to Ri'do than anything on this island. "You are free now, soon you will be strong, and eventually you will take your side next to me on the foodchain of the island."
"Food is food" he said as he took another chunk out of the dead creature, the dead creature had a jelly-like substance that he loved, a substance that soaked into his tongue. The substance had a savory smell ripped into his nostrils which gave him a euphoric feeling, he had creatures like this before at his home, in fact it was a mere delicacy to have this at the table during holidays and eventful occasions.
"Free as I am, you are now my family" he told the feline, "...with our combined strengths, this island is ours." he said as be satisfied his appetite.
