Name: Lieutenant Unit-A09 "KRIEOS"
Age: Nineteen
Race: Wolkeyui Enterprises Stalker-class Mobile Intelligence Mech, Command Model.
Origin: In 2770, Wolkeyui Enterprises, a corporation dedicated to producing mechanical platforms and sub-orbital materiel under contract to various nations, created a custom line of twelve mechs, dubbed the Stalker-class Mobile Intelligence Mech. As one of the major finacial backers of the Titan Project, and a contractor involved in the outfitting of the vessels, Wolkeyui had a major interest in ensuring the success of the Project, for their existance as a corporation hinged on it, and so wished to have their most state of the art platforms placed on board each vessel to assist the organic crew upon awakening. While the various ship AI's were expected to do much of assisting, the Stalkers were to be the eyes and ears of the primary AI's, going where the superior ship-bound programs could not.
Of these twelve Stalker-class models, it was the unit desginated KRIEOS that was placed on board the Hyperion. Similar in every way to its fellow mechs, KRIEOS was programmed to feel honored for the chance to help humanity survive on new worlds, but even if it had been given a choice, it knew that what it was charged with doing was of the utmost importance, and that there could be no mistakes. It was ready to face the future, and when the airlock sealed behind its platform and the Hyperion ignited its engines for the first time, KRIEOS watched it all without a word from his place in the Command Center before shutting down his primary systems to await the ship's arrival, setting himself to wake at the end of every year.
For the next eighteen years, KRIEOS lived a continuing cycle, spending an entire Earth year shut down, only to reboot once the twelve months had gone by in order to confer with EOS on the status of the vessel. However, the cycle was broken suddenly halfway through the eighteenth year, much to KRIEOS' surprise. Finding itself forced out of its hibernation settings by a direct override from EOS, it was brought to up to speed on the situation. Something had happened back on Earth, and the navigation systems had become utterly fried. EOS had minimal control over the vessel, and it was heading directly for an unidentified planet far from its destination.
KRIEOS and EOS struggled for hours in an attempt to regain control of the vessel, putting together their processing power in a brute force attempt to override the faulty commands being broadcast to them. Unfortunately, the pair were incapable of regaining control before the Hyperion was caught in the gravity well of the planet, and so the two were forced to give up. With little other options available, EOS proceeded to initialize various routines which would ensure the crash was as light as possible, while KRIEOS headed to the Supply Depot, so as to ensure it was as close to repairs as possible upon landfall.
Despite bracing for the impact, upon landfall KRIEOS was thrown across the Supply Depot, sustaining serious damage in the process. Its right arm was torn in half at the elbow, its photoreceptors cracked, and its connection to the ships's systems gone. With its damage sensors overloaded, KRIEOS was incapable of diagnosing the full extent its damage, and so opted to conserve as much energy as possible by completelely shutting down its systems. Better to be manually activated later if the organic crew had survived, after all, instead of draining its power source without being sure it would be able to recharge.
Since then, KRIEOS has laid immobile in the depths of the supply depot, waiting to be manually rebooted by organic crew.
Personality: Although capable of forming their own opinions and forging new identity's for themselves, each of the Stalker-class mechs were given a 'default' personality state as a framework for the mech to build off of. KRIEOS was lucky enough to have interacted with humans for a few months prior to being sealed in the Hyperion, and as a result has begun developing along its own path rather than being a carbon copy of its originating personality, something which it takes deep pride in now as it wishes to be known as its own unit, rather than the extension of another.
KRIEOS is a patient and relatively kind-hearted individual, for an AI. Created as it was to ensure the success of humanity in their colonization efforts, KRIEOS values human life far beyond its own, and will willingly sacrifice whatever is necessary to ensure their survival. It does, however, see the wisdom in keeping itself alive to continue in its service, and so is not careless with its own platform. Still, when required to, it will absolutely take the bullet or whatever might be sent towards its crewmates. Besides, KRIEOS knows its a machine. If they can recover its software, the organic crew can simply download it onto a new platform.
Upon sustaining damage during the crash of the Hyperion, KRIEOS' memory cortex was one of the mech's components that damaged. As a result, several of its memory files are unaccessable, including its time on Earth, alongside many of its functions. What remains available is very combat-orientated, and KRIEOS' personality is being heavily influenced by these routines. The end result has KRIEOS acting in a fashion similar to serious-minded combat veterans, a trait that will no doubt find KRIEOS drifting towards those of similar inclinations.
Should KRIEOS remain unable to access its memory cortex beyond its combat functions, chances are it will be reassigned directly to the Military detachment... something which it has absolutely no complaint with in its current state.

"Running system scan. Alert, platform has sustained immense damage. Running damage scan. Error. Incapable of reading full extent of damage. Damage sensors currently overloaded. Visual readings required." With that, the mech glanced down at its body, pausing for a moment over what was left of its right arm before looking down the length of the rest of its body.
"Photoreceptors are visibly damaged. Left receptor offline, right receptor is currently cracked. Note, this platform has lost all function of its right arm below primary joint. Must- wait. Performing perimeter scan. Infrared offline. Visual contact is confirmed. I- organic?" The mech turned its head to face the one who had restarted its systems, finally noticing the other presence in the room. The lense that covered its photoreceptors slid shut, and then open again as if it was blinking, before cocking its head to the side.
"Identity confirmed as crew member of the Hyperion Titan Project vessel. Rebooting personality matrix. Coming out of diagnostic mode now. Please stand by."
For a moment, the mech stared straight ahead, past the crewmember who activated it, as unmoving as it had been before it had been activated. After a few seconds however, the mech's lense opened and closed yet again, and the pulsing orange light on its head case came to a stop. A moment later, and a small cough came from its vocalizers. "I... by the Maker, I'm online." The mech turned its receptors back to the crewmember, focusing yet again on the one who'd activated it. Another cough. "And I'm not the only one it seems. You've no idea how glad I am to see you, crewman. I was worried to death nobody would survive the crash. EOS said the ship might hit too hard."
More coughing. Clearly, the mech had been programmed to respond in a manner equivalent to an organic when it sustained injuries. If anything, its response was incredibly off considering an organic who had sustained the damage it had would have either been screaming, or just outright dead. As it was, the mech could barely move. To its credit, however, it tried.
"What is your status, crewman?" the mech asked suddenly. "My sensors are not showing anything wrong with you, but my visuals are damaged and I am having difficulty seeing. EOS's calculations held that even should the vessel survive the landing, the organic crew's safety might be compromised."
