Oh. Well, if he knew a person with a camera, that couldn’t be bad, could it? Plus, he already seemed to know more people than she had met, although he had invariably been here and coherent longer than she had. However long that was, though she wanted to know, wasn’t exceedingly important at this moment in time. She breathed an internal sigh of relief that she wasn’t the only one that knew about Kai, but then she frowned. ”Where are they?” She asked, knowing full well that he had the ability to answer, at least in the vaguest sense, because he knew what ‘Hyperion’ was, and was able to indicate and at least partially explain whatever ‘outside’ was. ”Why are they not with you?” She was unable to imagine that they would just have let him wander freely away. Unless, of course, they had assumed or ascertained that, when they met him, he couldn’t speak English and could therefore not help.
The nickname ‘Cat’ brought up an image in her mind of a red-headed girl holding a camera. Part of the Communications Team. JD, however, was another story. It could have alluded to a number of the crew members, and without any further information, there was no way of figuring out who it was Kai meant. Amoura herself had less idea of the crew’s current relationships than Kai did, but she wasn’t about to admit that to him. She nodded as if she knew who he was talking about, and chewed her lip in thought. What to do indeed…. There really was only one option, but the execution was the part that she hadn’t figured out yet.
Thinking quickly, Amoura shed her lab coat and passed it to Kai. ”You wear this.” She threaded his forearm through one sleeve and left him to complete the task as she jogged out of the room, shouting over her shoulder. ”I’ll be back in a minute, don’t go anywhere!” In the vain hopes that he understood her polite request that basically boiled down to one command – ‘stay’. She sprinted down the corridors, hoping against hope that she wouldn’t run into anyone (both literally and figuratively). Barely a hundred seconds had passed when she returned to Kai, panting slightly and clutching the one thing she hadn’t removed from the box of clothing in her room – a Titan Project branded cap. It would cover his ears, and if he kept his head down and the clipboard that she belatedly passed him, they should be able to get to her office. She placed the cap on his head and tried to explain what he should do as they made their way. ”We are going to my room. Keep this –“ She lifted the clipboard into position. ”- here, and head down.” She demonstrated, then gestured him forwards. ”Follow me.”----------
