Parallel crises was the believed cause. Between M-Day and DC's Infinite Crisis the swirling energies began to pull the universes together. Suddenly Spider-man found himself along side Batman. But it wasn't all the heroes that became a problem, it was the kabal of people like Vandal Savage, Doctor Doom, Ras al Ghul, Loki and Lex Luthor that was the real issue. But luckily between the betrayal of Victor Von Doom and the massive team up of heroes they were stopped. But there was another unexpected result when the massive swirling energies also drew in the outlying universes of Image and Dark Horse. Now the larger Earth had numerous more people fighting for rights and contracts that only existed for one. A massive espionage war ensued with CHECKMATE and SHIELD. CHECKMATE, teaming with HYDRA, defeated SHIELD and sent them scattering.
Now a new generation has risen up, along side a few other heroes or villains who can't bring themselves to retire just yet. Between the increase in the amount of Meta-Humans and mutants possibly due to HYDRA, an outbreak of zombies in Georgia, and countless other issues. Now the question is which side will you take in this battle? Will you stand up for the good like heroes before you or destroy the world like the villains wanted to do?
