Having been a awake for a little while now Endsley thought he should probably find something to occupy himself. After all idle hands made for the devil's work. He made a list from instinctive programming of all the supplies he would need then set off to find them. After negotiating with the AI (Who was still insistent he should go for a medical and 'check in') he got directions to the supply storage. Upon wondering inside it was dark at first. Then suddenly motion sensors tripped and the lights began to flicker into life. Another AI greeted him which disturbed him somewhat. He waited for a few moments to see if there was a quartermaster, eventually deciding to look for himself. There was something eerie about the labyrinth of shelves, stacked high with boxes and crates. He quite liked the peaceful quiet of it all to be honest. After ten minutes or so he had recovered most of the things he had needed, he still found it spooky how he had a very good idea of what things he needed and where they would be. However he still needed some pencils of all things. Shuffling about in a back corner he thought he had found the right crate but the crash must have knocked things about as it seemed jammed. He wrestled with it for some time before it gave way unexpectedly, caving out onto the floor. He managed to dodge the heavy object but it smacked open on impact, all manner of stationary exploding out onto the floor.
"Shit" Was Endsley's response.
He quickly began clearing up his mess, desperately trying to cram pencils and pens, paper clips, and staples back into the right packages. It was just then that he paused, he thought he had heard something, the doors opening perhaps. He hoped it wasn't the quarter master.
