Fifty years ago the supernatural population revealed themselves to the city of Providence, Rhode Island.
Rather than being relegated to shadowy nightmares, the creatures of the night showed themselves to be a savvy class of ruthless businessmen and women who'd orchestrated a town into their own personal playground. Even stronger than the supernatural ties were the mafia ones that cut the city into sections, setting up a power struggle that is generations old.
In recent years, the factions have increased their efforts to gain not only members but power within the city while co-existing with their aware human population. Even the cops have begun to take sides, aligning themselves to the families for a combination of power, protection, and their own motives, though at this point, it's anyone's game. A strange cult known as Seria Inlusio has begun crusading against the supernatural world and a serial killer's victims are mounting. Their only tie? Young brunettes who often have ties to the supernatural world.
