Name: Corporal Mira "Scarlett" Alizabeth Phrix
Age: 19
Race: Human
Origin: The second child of Professor Jaxson Phrix and Doctor Sophia Callahan, Mira was born near the completion of the Titan Project. Her mother and father, both members of the Titan Project team of scientists and engineers, had already given their first child over to the program, Katherine . As members of the Project development team, the pair of them were informed that their daughter would immediately be tested upon birth to see if she would be compatible with the Project's goals.
Following Mira's birth, the Project team went forward with their tests, and came to the conclusion that she would indeed be an excellent match for one of the crews. Though her parents were upset at the news that both of their daughters were going to be drafted into the program, they both knew the score, and were aware that putting both of them on the ships would undoubtedly be the one act that could save both of them from a future stuck on a doomed planet. Pulling strings, they managed to get both sisters assigned to the same ship, with the thought that if they were both going to get stuck on a colony ship, they would still have some sort of family on board. There was at least that.
Personality: Mira is an aggressive, driven young woman. She could be considered hot-blooded, or perhaps, a spitfire. She calls things how she sees them, and isn't one to soften the truth. If she thinks you're an idiot, you can be darn sure she'll tell you that if you try to act smart. Surprisingly enough, despite her massive independent streak, Mira respects authority, and will follow her orders when given without hesitation.. Or at least in most cases. If you order her to do something she feels is wrong, she isn't going to follow through, its as simple as that. When it comes to other people, she'll be nice to them if she likes them, simply because she likes them, but even they aren't safe from her rather blunt declarations.
There are a few quirks that Mira possesses, which can often times come off as rather... unusual, to people who aren't familiar with her. She has a thing for knives, that originates from corrupted data during her conditioning. After her brain was wired to excel at bladework, only to then continuously have it reenforced over and over (and over and over and over) again, its no wonder she's ended up this way. This liking of blades is a borderline obsession, and she can end up talking for hours about the particular benefits and flaws of using various styles of knives, if you bring it up in conversation. She also has a morbid sense of humor that was a direct result of her violent programming interfacing with her naturally cheerful demeanor. She's an interesting one, she is, albeit a straight forward type.
Ethnicity: Caucasian - British
Appearance: Mira stands at 5'4" (And one 1/2, thank you much), with a light and atheletic build. She is usually found in the uniform of an enlisted man of the military detachment, being on duty more often than not. When outside of the Hyperion, and therefore expected to be ready for any combat situation, Mira wears her combat uniform, in whatever camouflage variety is appropriate for the mission terrain. To offset her small stature and low physical strength, Mira's combat suit has strength enhancing servos built into the upper armor, allowing her to lift greater weights or punch with greater force than she is naturally capable of. She is equipped with standard issue equipment conductive to her specialty, including a veritable arsenal of blades. Alongside her sidearm, Mira is issued the marksman variant of the standard issue assault rifle, equipped with an ACOG scope; and a collapsible shotgun capable of being mounted under her rifle's barrel.

(From a previous forum. Note that this is pretty much the exact same character, just in a completely different setting)
Mira laughed.
Her sister always knew how to make her laugh. Whether it be pulling goofy faces behind the back of their squad mates, or just making jokes about their commander, Katherine could keep her in high spirits regardless of what was going on. She was fairly certain that the entire world could end, and she’d still go out laughing as long as her sister was with her. That was how funny Mira found her sister. Not even the apocalypse could keep her down. Hopefully it wouldn’t come to that, of course. The end of the world wasn’t exactly high on her list of things to experience.
”So Mira, what are we doing today? Scouting? Guard duty?”[/green]
Wasn't that the question? Mira hadn't been contacted by the lieutenant yet, so she wasn't sure what their game plan was for the day. All she knew is that whatever it was, chances were that things were going to be exciting. This far into the campaign, not a day went by that didn't have something eventful happen, whether it be a raid or just a good old fashioned chance for a fight. The enemy was breathing down their backs so often now that it became suspicious when the sound of guns firing in the distance actually stopped, rather than being something of a good sign.
"Not sure, Kat. The L.T. hasn't given us any orders yet, so we're pretty much just stuck here until we hear anything from him. Hopefully he'll get back to us soon though. I'm getting absolutely bored sitting in this stupid trench. We've been here for hours, and second platoon is still out there on the front, getting all the action."
Katherine just laughed. "Well, here, I'll try to raise him again. We might actually be able to get in contact with the damn guy."
Shrugging, Mira stood up to glance over the lip of the trench. Hopefully, something would come up soon. She was looking forward to getting back into the action and taking the fight to the bastards camped out on the other side of the battlefield.
