Blurry... everything was so blurry and so quiet. And so very strangely cold like it was holding to her and just keeping her under. Reaching her hand up to rub her eyes, her head turned about before she let out a soft whimper, the noise feeling strange on her vocal cords as they moved and vibrated. This wasn't nice... this heavy, groggy feeling. She wasn't sure what it was or why it was this way but already she wasn't happy. Flickering open her dark magenta eyes she slowly came to realize... something was terribly wrong. It was pitch black where she was. The darkness ebbed around her, stretching towards her slowly.
Suddenly the air in her lungs felt minimal, and this overwhelming fear filled every fiber of her being. Control was lost easily and her hands reached up, hitting the glass for it to pop open easily and she sat up. More darkness, but now there was a little bit of moonlight coming through her window. Still.. the darkness itself was terrifying. Her eyes quickly sought out anything else in the room but it was so plain and empty. The emptiness almost felt as though it was creeping inside of her very soul. She couldn't stay here... she had to go or be consumed by this.
She sprang from the bed and tried to rush to the door but her legs were not used to the movement and quickly crumpled beneath her and she hit the carpet rather roughly, the sear of the carpet scraping against her arm made her tear up. What the hell was wrong with this place? She sat up slowly, this time moving a bit slower but the fear of the darkness and emptiness of this place was still so suffocating. On trembling legs now she moved towards the door and quickly opened it and moved out to the long, well lit hallway. Her body collapsed with her back against the wall across from her own room. Resting her head against the wall to try and calm her frayed nerves she could feel her entire body was shaky. The carpet burn from earlier didn't help as she slowly lifted her arm up to look at the wound and then inside of her room that was still unlit.
It was then that her training and information finally started to filter through her fear and remembered why she was here, and who she was. If that wasn't enough, she felt the necklace around her and reached to it, gently touching the charms. Somehow... she knew it was from her family. Had that been in her training? Why would it have been? She frowned and looked around the empty hallway, realizing it was night and that was why there had been no light in her room. Her empty, alone room. She gazed into it and drew a slow breath. She didn't like the idea of going back in there and being alone... but at the same time she didn't want to wake anyone up that might still be sleeping.
"To the kitchen.." her voice whispered the words out loud, it was like she knew where her calling was and where the safest place for her was.. the kitchen. Her mind knew exactly where the kitchen was, what route to take, and how long it would take her to walk there. And yet... her feet wouldn't move. She looked down at them and sighed... she had no shoes on, just a simple gown to keep her body modestly clothes while she had grown in the pod. She couldn't very well go to the kitchen like this... and she couldn't go back inside her room alone.
